The Institute of Railway Structures and Constructions provides teaching in the bachelor and master programmes, especially for the specialisation of Structural and Transportation Engineering of the Civil Engineering study programme and the Urban Engineering study programme. The teaching focuses on the design, construction and maintenance of railway structures, environmental issues concerning transport structures, and noise and vibration measurement and modelling techniques. The Institute is also the guarantor of practical teaching in the field in master programme Civil Engineering.
The Institute participates in the education of students of the doctoral study programme in seminars and subjects Permanent Way Theory and Railway Substructure Theory, which are focused on the advanced analysis and design of these structures in the context of the requirements of increasing line speeds and axle loads, while reducing maintenance requirements and taking into account the interoperability of the European railway network.
